Jerry Adler, Sopranos mainstay and Broadway veteran behind the scenes, dies at 96

Jerry Adler, the veteran Broadway stage manager who became a familiar face on TV in his 60s, has died at 96 in New York City. Best known as Hesh Rabkin on The Sopranos, Adler worked behind the scenes on more than 50 Broadway shows, including the original My Fair Lady, before a three-decade screen career. He also appeared in The Good Wife, Mad About You, Rescue Me, and films like Manhattan Murder Mystery.
