Queens Park Rangers coach Luigi De Canio, left the club last night by ‘mutual consent’.
The club who have recently been linked with Zidane becoming manager dismissed those reports to say that they are looking for an English manager to steer the club into the top flight.
Sam Allardyce seems to be favourite to take the job, having being spotted at Loftus Road on several occasions recently. Steve McClaren, Steve Cotterill and Iain Dowie have also been linked with the job.
Luigi De Canio seemed stunned by the decision although agreeing it was made by mutual consent, said; ‘We were speaking about many things. We did not agree about everything and there were some small problems. It is a shame. I came here when QPR were bottom of the table and there was the fear of relegation in the air. I feel I did a good job at QPR.’
