Southampton manager Nigel Pearson has disciplined players Bradley Wright-Phillips and Nathan Dyer, after the pair were caught on CCTV at a Portsmouth nightclub, allegedly stealing from barmaid’s handbags.
The players have been disciplined only for ‘late night socialising’, as the club awaits details of the police inquiry over the theft allegations.
In an official statement on the club website, Pearson says:
“As far as the other allegations are concerned, the club views these seriously but will await full details and will then decide on what action to take.”
The incidents are alleged to have taken place at Portsmouth’s Bar Bluu club in the early hours of Thurday February 28th.
