Watford go back to the top of the Coca-Cola Football League Championship Table after a 1-0 win over Ian Holloway’s Leicester City.
Darius Henderson scored just before half-time, two minutes after Watford had been reduced to 10 men. John-Joe O’Toole, the man with a name like a jockey, was sent off for pulling back Stephen Clemence.
Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd didn’t disagree with the foul by O’Toole but did disagree with the sending off as he said he could see a covering defender.
Leicester are now seriously fighting for survival just two places above the relegation zone, having played more games than all four teams below them.
Leicester manager Ian Holloway told the BBC:
“The chairman will not be happy, I know. We’ve lost our last three games, I’m a manager and I’m paid to win games but I accept that.”
Watford go one point clear of Bristol City, and two points clear of Stoke City in third.
Bristol City sneaked a 1-0 win away to Scunthorpe. While Stoke held on to a 3-0 half time lead to beat Southampton 3-2.
West Bromich Albion drop to fourth place after a goaless draw against Sheffield United at The Hawthorns.
